Shipping & Delivery

Is shipping really free?

Yes. Lots of Costumes offers free standard shipping on every order.

If faster shipping options are available for your product and destination, they will be shown at checkout before you complete your order.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders are expected to be processed within 1-3 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.

As a guide, delivery is expected within approximately 7-20 business days after dispatch. Delivery times vary by product, destination, fulfilment partner, customs, carrier delays, and seasonal demand.

These timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Please order early if you need a costume for Halloween, Christmas, a school event, party, festival, or another fixed date.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Lots of Costumes is built for customers in multiple countries.

International delivery times may vary by destination, customs processing, local delivery partners, public holidays, and peak-season volume.

If duties, taxes, or import fees apply in your country, they may be charged by your local customs authority or carrier. These charges are not controlled by Lots of Costumes.

Can I get my costume by a specific date?

We cannot guarantee delivery by a specific event date.

We will give clear delivery estimates and send tracking after dispatch, but carrier delays, customs checks, supplier processing, and busy costume seasons can affect timing.

For time-sensitive events, order as early as you can.

Tracking

Will I get tracking?

We will send your tracking number after your order has been dispatched.

Tracking can take a little time to update after the parcel is handed to the carrier, so please check again later if it does not show movement straight away.

My tracking has not updated. What should I do?

Tracking updates can pause while parcels move between fulfilment partners, carriers, customs, or local delivery networks.

If your tracking has not updated for several days, contact support@lotsofcostumes.com with your order number and the email address used at checkout.

Why did only part of my order arrive?

If your order includes more than one costume or accessory, items may ship separately. This can happen when products come from different fulfilment partners.

You will not be charged extra shipping if your items arrive in separate parcels.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return a costume?

Return requests may be accepted if the item meets our costume return conditions and the request is made within 7 days of delivery.

Costumes must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in resale-ready condition, with tags, labels, accessories, and included parts still attached or included where possible.

Please contact us before sending anything back.

Can I return a costume after wearing it to an event?

No. We cannot accept returns for costumes that have been worn to an event, used for photos, altered, washed, damaged after delivery, or returned with missing parts.

Because costumes are worn close to the body, hygiene and resale condition matter.

Are wigs, masks, makeup, or accessories returnable?

Some hygiene-sensitive items may not be returnable once opened, tried on, or used.

This may include wigs, masks, face coverings, hosiery, bodysuits, intimate costume pieces, makeup, adhesive items, earrings, or similar accessories.

If you are unsure, contact us before opening or using the item.

Who pays return shipping?

For change-of-mind, wrong-size, or no-longer-needed returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

For damaged, faulty, incorrect, or missing items, contact us before returning anything. We will review the issue case by case and confirm the most suitable next step.

Sizing

How do I choose the right size?

Check the product description, size options, and any product-specific size chart before ordering.

Costume sizing can vary between styles and suppliers, so the best fit guide is usually the measurement information on the product page.

If you are between sizes, consider sizing up where appropriate, especially for fitted costumes or costumes worn over clothing.

Do adult and kids costumes use the same sizing?

No. Adult and kids costume sizing can vary by style, supplier, and product type.

Always check the specific product page before ordering. Age labels for kids costumes are a guide only, and measurements are more reliable.

Do inflatable costumes fit differently?

Yes. Inflatable costumes often use height ranges rather than standard clothing sizes.

Check the product page for fit-height guidance before ordering. If a product has a fan or battery pack, make sure the costume has enough room to inflate properly when worn.

Damaged, Faulty, Wrong, or Missing Items

What should I do if my item arrives damaged?

Contact support@lotsofcostumes.com as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos.

Please include photos of:

  • The item received.
  • The damage or fault.
  • The packaging, if it was damaged in transit.
  • Any labels or barcodes on the parcel.

Please do not discard the item or packaging until we have reviewed the issue.

What if I received the wrong item or something is missing?

We will review the issue and let you know the next step. Depending on the situation, this may include a replacement, refund, store credit, or another suitable resolution.

Inflatable Costumes, Fans & Batteries

Do inflatable costumes include a fan?

Some inflatable costumes include a fan, but this can vary by product.

Check the product description before ordering. If the fan inclusion is not clear, contact us before checkout and we will help confirm what is included where possible.

Do inflatable costumes include batteries?

Batteries may not be included with inflatable costumes, especially for international shipping.

Check the product description before ordering. If batteries are needed, the product page should state the battery type where available.

How do I use an inflatable costume safely?

Follow the product instructions included with your costume.

As a general guide:

  • Keep the fan and battery pack dry.
  • Do not use damaged wires, fans, or battery packs.
  • Keep the costume away from open flames, heaters, and sharp objects.
  • Make sure children are supervised when wearing inflatable costumes.
  • Remove the costume if it feels uncomfortable, too warm, or hard to move in.
